This February eighth Paseo Artistico honors Latinx of African Descent by means of artwork, performances, workshops, courses and historic archives in El Tecolote. The Mission District’s bimonthly Group Artwork Stroll celebrates Black Latinx heritage and all actions for racial justice each domestically and all through the Americas. Featured actions embody Afro-Mexicano son jarocho efficiency, spoken phrase, Afro-Cuban music, dance, Afro-Latino textiles and crafts, Puerto Rican Bilingual hip-hop, music and extra.
Invited artists embody Afro-Veracruzano Music of Mexico, spoken phrase from Afro-Mexican poet Jeremy Vaszquez, Afro-Salvadoran poet Olivia Peña, in addition to presentation on Afro-Mexican id by textile and crafts artist Azteca Negra. Afro-Cuban timba dancers Yismari Ramos and Denmis Savigne Bain, in addition to Puerto Rican hip-hop artist Rico Pabon, musician Manolo Davila and extra.
Paseo is a multimedia chronological stroll down 24th Avenue. Starting with a Son Jarrocho music efficiency and collaborative fandango jam session at 12midday at BRAVA Theater/Cabaret. The stoll strikes up 24th Avenue towards Mission Avenue venues, culminating in a headliner efficiency at Mission Cultural Heart by Puerto Rican MC/Poet Rico Pabon and musician-singer-songwriter Manolo Davila.

3pm (NEW TIME!) – DANCE MISSION: Yismari Ramos and Denmis Bain Afro-Cuban Dance efficiency and Cuban Timba (salsa dance class)
